Volunteer

We are a 100% volunteer organization and can always use extra hands. Whether on a regular basis or one time only for a special project, we would welcome your helping us help those in need. Contact us to let us know your interest.

Some examples of the kind of work we need include:

Picking up items offered on FreeCycle and bringing them to the warehouse
Working in the warehouse on a regular basis to accept and organize donations
Working periodically during drives when volume at the warehouse is heavy
Pledging to “phone a friend” to help us find urgent needs as they come up
Organizing a neighborhood or office drive
Work after school hours at the warehouse with groups who have organized a drive (Girl Scouts, etc.)
Research grant opportunities and write grant proposals
Find businesses to partner with PHA
Bargain shop for items to stock our shelves.
If you have a truck or van, pick up furniture at donors' homes
