Ruth is a skilled professional with extensive experience in nonprofit executive leadership. She has held management roles at Top Notch Scholars and Esperanza Academy in Lawrence, MA, as well as events and operations management positions at Harvard and Tufts Universities. A resident of Methuen, MA, Ruth immigrated to the United States from Guatemala, giving her a deep understanding of the lived experiences of our largely Latinx and immigrant client base.

When the chance to take a bigger role arose, she was excited for the opportunity. Allison looks forward to making a difference in our clients lives and making a positive impact for all involved.

Nancy Dubow Kanell
FounderIn 2003, responding to the needs of a friend, Nancy got the idea to create a space where others in need could find everything necessary to furnish their homes and live with comfort and dignity. For the next 21 years, she shepherded the growth of PHA into the vital organization and community safety net it is today.
