Do you have a purse at home that you no longer need?

Please fill it with snacks, sanitary and hygiene products, socks, and possibly a snack. They will be given to homeless women in Lawrence. Needless to say, they are always in need of these items and they will bring a message of care, concern, and a little comfort to these women who can surely use it.

Recently I saw a similar post and my wheels started turning. How could I bring this idea to fruition? Within a few minutes, Nancy Kanell reached out and said “Let’s do this”. Both Nancy and I enjoy helping others. She is the founder of Project Home Again and I am a teacher in Lawrence. We have come together on several occasions in order to assist families in our community. Please consider donating. We know these “care bags” will be appreciated!

Feel free to contact Nancy or Gina for more details. Donations will be accepted at Project Home Again during any of their regular drop off hours. All you need to do is let the PHA volunteer know this is a “Care Bag”.  I will make sure that the purses are distributed to homeless women in Lawrence. Please help us spread the word by sharing with friends and family.

Thanks so very much,

Gina Johnson
