We are thrilled to announce the appointment of its new co-chairpersons of the Board of Directors, Veronica Guzman and Liri Rivera. They step into their roles as Heather Rosenfeld, who has served as board chair for the last three years, graciously steps down.
Heather Rosenfeld, president of Rosewood Associates, specializing in corporate leadership development, expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to lead PHA, stating, “I am truly grateful for the privilege of serving as the board chair at PHA, working alongside incredible individuals dedicated to making a positive impact. Together, we’ve accomplished meaningful milestones and navigated challenges with resilience. As I pass the torch to the new co-chairs, I am confident in their resourcefulness and leadership, knowing they will continue to guide PHA towards even greater success. The journey may change hands, but the commitment to this important cause remains steadfast.”
Veronica Guzman, Corporate Finance Manager for Spartronics, shared her enthusiasm for her new role, saying, “Coming from a family of immigrants, I know firsthand how hard it can be to start over, which is why I am so excited there is an organization like PHA that helps make new beginnings a lot less stressful. I am even more excited that I can contribute to that impact by leading PHA!”
Liri Rivera, Assistant Vice President, Accounting Manager at Pentucket Bank, expressed her passion for making a difference in people’s lives through PHA, stating, “I’ve always wanted to make a difference in people’s lives, and being involved with PHA has allowed me to do that. I am thrilled to be given the opportunity to lead PHA because it allows me to volunteer my time to an organization that I am passionate about and that helps people get back on their feet at what is most likely the lowest point of their lives. It’s truly an honor to have this opportunity.”
Founder and president, Nancy Kanell, warmly welcomed the new board co-chairs, stating, “Heather did an incredible job leading PHA through a time of great growth and we are incredibly grateful for all the time and energy she put into guiding PHA.
